CAPE MAY COUNTY STRING BAND

The Cape May County String Band is a non-profit organization founded in 1986 by George Magnavita. Starting with just 5 musicians, we now number about 30. Our performances feature the traditional String Band music heard at the Philadelphia Mummers' Parade on new year's day. To us, "Golden Oldies" pre-date the songs of the seventies by at least 30 years. Several of our members are past or present members of Philadelphia String Bands, including Woodland and Broomall.
