Six Week Bran Muffins

  • 1 box (15 ounce) Post Raisin Bran
  • 5 cups flour or 4 cups flour & 1 cup wheat germ
  • 5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 5 whole large eggs (beaten)
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 quart buttermilk
  • 1 cup oil
  • 2 teaspoon salt


  1. Mix all dry ingredients completely and then add remaining wet ingredients until all is well moistened.

  2. Let stand in refrigerator several hours minimum or up to 6 weeks before baking mixture.

  3. Bake in preheated 400 degree oven for about 25 minutes in ¾ filled muffin tins (spray tins first). For variety blueberries, cranberries, nuts or a combination may be added before baking.
