  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 1 cup fresh parsley
  • ¼ cup garlic cloves
  • ½ cup Romano cheese
  • 1 to 1 ½ cups extra virgin olive oil
  • ½ cup toasted pine nuts
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Place all ingredients except oil and cheese in a food processor and process for about 1 minute.

  2. While running, slowly add the oil until a thick green paste is achieved.

  3. Add the cheese and just pulse to blend.
