Ingredients

  • 1 pound Knockwurst
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 amber beer 12 ounce
  • 1 teaspoon Caraway seed
  • 1 package sauerkraut
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Directions

  1. Brown the sausage and onion in the butter in a heavy large skillet or Dutch oven.

  2. Add the beer and caraway.

  3. Cover and allow simmering for 45 minutes to an hour.
