  • 4 English cucumbers, sliced
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon saffron or turmeric
  • 1/3 cup minced fresh dill
  • 1/2 cup cider vinegar
  • Salt and pepper, to taste


  1. Combine all ingredients in a non-metallic bowl and refridgerate 20-30 minutes.

  2. Place in a serving bowl and allowing warming slightly for about 20 minutes and serve.
