Cut or break bread in small cubes. Alternate layers of bread cubes and cheese (can add veggies or ham, sausage, bacon, etc.) in buttered 2 quart casserole dish.
Blend eggs, milk and seasonings, pour over bread and cheese mixture.
Cover. Refrigerate several hours or overnight. Bake in preheated oven for 350 degrees for 70 minutes or until golden brown.
