We will, however, refer you to suggested resources and/or search strategies. Who answers your questions? Librarians from the Cape May County Library's Reference Department answer your questions. If the question is better suited for another department (Childrens, Teen, TLC...) the Reference department will forward the question to the appropriate department. Response time The Cape May County Library will endeavor to respond to your question within 72 hours, excluding holidays. If you need an answer by a specific date, please provide that information in the form and we will respond before that date if possible. Local history and obituary requests The Cape May County Library has access to databases that can be helpful in searching for genealogy records and local history information. Our staff is unable to do genealogy research on your behalf. We will search local newspapers for obituaries or events and make copies of the articles if provided a time frame.
